The original Griot’s Garage Random Orbital (left) was an instant classic. It represented Richard Griot’s life’s work, and gave thousands of customers an easy and safe way to polish their paint to perfection. So with the recent launch of an all-new machine, you might be wondering, “What makes this latest version so much better?” Well, I’ll tell you!

When we decided to develop a replacement for the original Griot’s Garage Random Orbital (model 10925), we selected a few key areas that could use improvement. We looked at our own experiences with a critical eye, and listened to feedback from customers. If you own a 10925, you already know the benefits of machine polishing and waxing. The new 6″ Random Orbital highlights those benefits even more! Here is your all-new, improved machine, the model 10750…

This machine’s larger, 850 Watt motor has 7 amps of power for polishing surface imperfections. The power is delivered across a wider RPM range, providing greater torque at lower speeds. This low speed torque gives better control and easier maneuverability of the machine. We also increased the orbit diameter for improved polishing power. A larger orbit covers a wider area and improves the polishing action and wax application. Wider orbit diameter (and increased torque) help keep the pad from stalling when pressure is applied. We’ve updated the machine’s backing plate to use an industry standard 5/16″ x 24 mounting stud, which allowed us to spec a very high quality backing plate. An ergonomic, adjustable handle was added to allow users to find the ideal, personalized position for comfort and control. Customizable handle settings also give greater flexibility where clearance may be limited. A longer 10-foot power cord was added to allow easier mobility when working around the vehicle.

Feedback on the new Griot’s Garage Random Orbital has been very positive, and we look forward to hearing yours! It’s still the safest, easiest way to polish and wax your paint with professional results. With this machine, we’ve truly taken the best and made it better!

As an owner of the 2nd gen 6″ orbital and a 2nd gen 3″ orbital, I must say these are the finest polishing devices I’ve ever used (and working at a fine European auto dealership in my past life, I’ve seen every method of ‘buffing’ available). Griot’s orbitals always run cool, feel completely dialed in when operating, and can bring out a mirror like finish like I’ve never seen on a black automobile, or any color for that matter (machine polish 3 followed by best of show wax are my preferred products). Mr. Griot, your life’s work is now my favorite way to unwind on a Saturday afternoon. Thank you!

The 2nd gen. 6″ polisher is a brute! I sold my first gen. unit and got one of these new ones just on the press write ups alone. I just finished my first session with it and it was indeed awesome. This thing will not bog down, even with lean-on-it pressure. I no longer feel like I have to go to a rotary polisher to get the results that I want. Thanks, Richard!

PS: My 1st gen. 3″ unit is still humming along. It too does everything that I need it to do.
