In the whirlwind of Holiday shopping it can be frustrating to find the perfect gift for the petrol head on your list. Rest assured… We at InMyGarage are always looking out for you. I stayed late one night and snuck through some desk drawers to compile a list of a few employee favorites at Griot’s Garage this gift-giving season.
Brandon: Oakley Hot Lap Shoes
I like a good pair of shoes, and the Hot Laps just look cool. Oakley did a really good job incorporating a racing theme into the look and design of the shoe. They are comfy and eye catching. As long as I could keep them clean I would love to have a pair of the white ones.
Heidi: Compact Detailing Cart
I keep leaving my detail goodies all strewn around my garage as I work around my vehicle. Not very efficient! Right now I have to run back and forth to grab all of my bottles and towels. After eating Thanksgiving dinner I could probably use the exercise… but I still want it!
Dell: Eleven Piece Precision Screwdriver Set
Why? The first time I saw the bit housing eject action it reminded me of the M.I.B. standard issue neutralizer. I had to have one.
Jay: Did you ever flashy-thing me?
Kay: No.
Jay: I ain’t playing with you, K. Did you ever flashy-thing me?
Kay: No.
Tim: Italian Leather Holdall Bag
The Italian Leather Holdall Bag has been on my Christmas list from the day I saw the first sample. It reminds me of the drivers bags used in the 60’s and 70’s. The durable black leather outer and the soft tan leather interior liner are perfectly stitched with a level of quality you come to expect from Italian craftsmen. The perfect size for a weekend getaway.
Hudson: Gray Le Mans Classic Racing T-Shirt
I could not wait, so I already bought one. I didn’t want to leave this one up to chance.
Dave: 113 Piece Tamper Proof Bit Set
I’m asking Santa for the 113 Piece Tamper Proof Bit Set this year. I’ve used this in our Car Care School, and it is the most useful set of bits I’ve ever seen. The bits are magnetically held in the driver and they stay in place solidly yet are easy to swap out. It seems like I’m always looking for tiny Torx bit and this set has them in spades!
Mike: Heated 12V Blanket
Dear Santa Griot, I’ve been (mostly) good this year, and there is really just one thing I want under my tree. Four of the same thing, actually. You see, there are five people in my family, but just one climate zone in our car. I am of the mind that the driver’s comfort should come first, but my wife and three kids (cold-blooded lizards that they are) insist on cranking the heat to 11 on winter road trips. Santa Griot, please leave four Heated 12V Blankets under my tree so that my adorable little reptiles can each bask in their own electric sunshine.
As for me, I’m going to echo Hudson on this one. The Le Mans GT40 shirt has been on my list since I first saw it. It is cool enough for a car show, while still being classy and stylish enough for a night out with friends. A perfect addition to my collection of car shirts.
And how about you, gearheads? What’s on your list this year?

An Eibach suspension.
And a Panasonic plasma so I can watch Top Gear in HD.

Hey Santa Griot. I’ve been good this year. How about some shiny chrome tools for my stocking?

That’s simple. One of everything…

Detail cart, The low seat and Piloti Sebring Shoes!

Infared thermometer – I would really like to keep better track of the tire temps on track days…plus, it would provide a much more satisfying answer to my wife’s constant question about our 4 month old son, “Does he feel hot to you?”

I am asking Santa this year for the 6″ Orbital Bag Kit. I really need to upgrade my old buffer and my black paint is begging for that liquid glass look. Most would say I have been good this year!
