American Muscle In Spotlight At Caffeine & Gasoline

caffeine_and_gasoline_july_american_muscle_thumbnailCars are freedom. I remember how my first car, a six-cylinder ’67 Camaro, opened up my world, giving me the ability to go anywhere at any time. I’ve always thought this realization of freedom was one of the driving forces behind America’s love affair with the automobile. So the Fourth of July holiday is a great time for a car show.

Appropriately our July 5th Caffeine & Gasoline cruise-in car show featured an American Muscle theme and the Red, White, & Blue was well represented. The Auto Display was dominated by GTOs, as three second gens and one early version took up a lot of space. The was a cool display of cars from the Steve McQueen movie Bullitt; the Mustang and Charger from the movie’s famous chase scene. We looped video of the scene, shot on the hilly section of San Francisco, on a TV above the cars. The display became a popular spot to stop and enjoy the free coffee and donuts.

Caffeine & Gasoline is always free to the public and we encourage you to bring you own special car be it a driver, unfinished project, or concours wallflower. You next change to get in on the action is August 2nd, and the theme will be Legends of the Autobahn. He are some of the sweet rides that showed up Independence Day weekend.
