You know they exist… Warehouses, barns, and garages filled to the gills with one-of-a-kind automobiles. But these troves of car guy dream stuff are often inaccessible. You hardly ever get to look inside. Until now. In a 13-show TV series, Griot’s Garage is rolling open the door on some of the most interesting car collections in the country.
The half-hour show, “Griot’s Garage Treasures” takes you inside great garages, opens the hoods of truly special automobiles, and introduces you to the collectors who share your passion.

The “Shadetree Mechanic” days.
The show is hosted by Sam Memmolo and Dave Bowman. You might remember this dynamic duo of true-blue car guys from from TV staples like “Shadetree Mechanic” and “Two Guys Garage”. “Griot’s Garage Treasures” will air in most markets on Fox Sports Network (and affiliates). Check your local listings.
As they’re available, we will archive past shows on the Griot’s Garage YouTube Channel.

Two old guys doing what they’ve always done… Get their mugs on TV and pretend they know about cars. In the last episode I watched I saw Sam going on and on about the “W fifty six” and pretending like he is some kind of Pontiac aficionado when there has never been a “W fifty six” Firebird, only a WS6.
Then seeing the shots of the cars with the plastic bags over all the brass. Sam, Dave and the production crew didn’t even have enough respect for the cars to take the shopping bags off them for even a few minutes so that they could be show to the public without humiliation. If the collection curator wouldn’t let them take off the bags that should be a good indicator of how much respect Sam and Dave garner. Also all the cars in the collection were filthy – not a good backdrop for a company that sells detailing supplies…
Watching these codgers over the years has always been like watching a train wreck you don’t want to watch because it is so bad but the carnage is entertaining is a disturbing way.
At least production value in this show is 100x better than the last hack series they slapped together that was shot on VHS tape.
Keep ‘em coming Griots, these guys are good for a laugh if nothing else!
