Video: 900-Horsepower Mustang Drifts Entire Nurburgring

Nordschleife just got more grip as Vaughn Gittin Jr. laid down tons of rubber as, according to Ford Racing, he became the first person to ever drift the entire 12.9 mile Nordschleife at the Nurburgring. Vaughn, a staple in the Formula drifting community, attacked the legendary German track behind the wheel of the 900 horsepower Ford Mustang RTR he uses in Formula Drift competition.

Vaughn won the Formula Drift championship in 2013 and is a three-time World Drift Series champion in 2011, ‘’12, and ‘13. In 2005, Vaughn became the first American ever to win a D1 Grand Prix event when he stood atop the podium in the 2005 USA vs Japan event.

In his Instagram page Vaughn mentions that it took a few sets of tires to complete the lap and we hear that Ford Racing will be releasing four separate videos on the lap and this is the first one. Enjoy.
