I can recall in 1968 , my grandparents on my mother’s side were in the popcorn business, and they owned a new or nearly new white Caddy Convert with a red interior. This was in the day when they did not finance everyone for everything. If you had a Caddilac, it meant something at the time. I can remember being pretty proud at 6 years old riding around in that car with the top down and the AC blowing. Probably getting all of 7-8 mpg

Great story, Ed. So many people seem to have vivid memories of Cadillacs. The brand has always transcended mere “car” into the realm of “lifestyle”. I myself owned a red ’67 convertible that was at the center of some wonderful, memorable moments for my family.
